Keal PhotoKeal Messersmith is the Engineering Manager at Laminated Wood Systems. Keal graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He previously worked as a production/robotics automation engineer at Kawasaki and has been with Laminated Wood Systems since 2018. 

Brian photoBrian Hitz is Vice President of Engineering at Laminated Wood Systems. Brian graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with Bachelor's degree in Construction Management and Civil Engineering. He previously worked for 4 years as a civil engineer at Burns & McDonnell and has been with Laminated Wood Systems since 2008. He has been a licensed Professional Civil Engineer since 2013.

Katie photoKathryn (Katie) Fernholz is President of Dovetail Partners a nonprofit environmental think tank based in Minneapolis. Kathryn is a forester by training with 23 years of experience in the forest sector. She has worked throughout North America on efforts to address sustainability in land use and material choices. She serves in many leadership roles in the forest sector, including as board chair for the American Forest Foundation and on the Minnesota Forest Resources Council as a governor-appointed environmental representative. Kathryn has a B.S. in Forest Resources from the University of Minnesota and also studied at the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, MN, and Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, AK.
